Privacy Policy

The Spinal Cord Society NZ Inc. (SCS) recognises the importance of safeguarding your personal information. This information is confidential and important to you and we think it's important you know how we treat your information.

SCS will use information provided by its visitors only to communicate with them. Any information automatically retrieved, such as site browsing patterns, will be used only in aggregate form (so that no individual visitors are identified).

Information provided by visitors will not be disclosed to third parties. The only exception to this is where you register for the Paystation service through this website.

Information about you may be used by us for our own marketing purposes, however, you can advise us at any time that you do not wish to receive further information from or have contact with SCS. SCS may also be required by law to disclose information you provide.

SCS will only make the disclosure if it believes in good faith that it is required to do so. It is important to note that this website may contains links to other sites not controlled by SCS. Those sites may not follow the same privacy policy as SCS.

SCS reserves the right to change this policy at anytime by notifying site users of the existence of a revised privacy policy.

Collection of Information:

To enable us to provide secure payment facilities we will typically acquire information which may include your name, your credit card numbers (with the expiry date) and your billing address. Please note we do not keep a record of your credit card details.

Use and disclosure of Information:

We use the information which you enter onto the payment page to obtain authorization to the transaction from the issuer of the credit card and our own or the supplier's bank and to process the payment. Some details from your transaction (such as your name and email and delivery address, but never your card details) are made available to the supplier through our customer management system, which allows them to keep track of what transactions have been made. Subject to the above, SCS will not disclose the information to third parties, or make any use of it, without your permission (unless we are required to do so by statute or by an authorized body in order to aid the investigation or prevention of crime).
