RESEARCH FACILITY

SCSNZ has established a state-of-the-art research facility within the Centre for Innovation at the University of Otago, Dunedin. This facility includes research and administration offices and a modern PC2 laboratory that is equipped with high quality equipment including, a Heraeus Class II biological safety cabinet, two Heraeus CO2 incubators, Heraeus multifuge, Rodwell autoclave, a Nucleo Cell counter, four microscopes including an inverted microscope (with a Solent heated CO2 chamber for live cell and time-lapse observation, fluorescence capability and digital camera) and a research microscope (with fluorescence capability and digital camera).  The laboratory also has a full water purification system, -80°C and -30°C freezers, a range of balances, cryostorage dewars and a full complement of standard laboratory research and safety equipment.
